Loot Priority Tier List
Inventory space kills more runs than mutants. This loot priority tier list tells you what to grab, what to sell on-site, and what to leave when bags fill during [loot runs](guides/loot-run-strategy). Priorities change slightly for solo vs squad play and near [nuke timers](tools/nuke-timer) deadlines.
How to use this list
**S-tier** — Always pick up if seen. **A-tier** — Grab unless sprinting to bunker with seconds left. **B-tier** — Take when space allows. **C-tier** — Vendor trash or skip unless you need micro-scraps.
Pair with sell room automation: sell C-tier instantly, stash A-tier for crafting, protect S-tier in armory.
S-tier loot
Rare crafting components, high-tier ammo cases, advanced medical kits, and power-related upgrade modules. These items are painful to replace if lost to raiders or death.
Event currencies from Krush Gladiator and limited trader goods from trader spawns also qualify — miss the window and wait days.
- Rare upgrade modules and power cells
- High-tier medical kits and stim packs
- Premium ammo crates matching your main weapon
- Event tokens and trader exclusives
A-tier and B-tier loot
**A-tier:** Mid weapons, armor pieces, food bundles, standard ammo, and recycling fodder when recycle room queues are empty. **B-tier:** Low weapons, partial crafting mats, common food.
Sell B-tier at shop locations if weight slows escape. Solo players may downgrade food to B until med bay stockpiles stabilize.
C-tier junk
Broken cosmetics, single-use trinkets with low vendor value, and duplicate white-tier weapons after armory is stocked. Pick up only when literally empty and next to a sell terminal.
| Tier | Examples | Action |
|---|---|---|
| S | Rare modules, event tokens | Stash in armory |
| A | Med kits, mid guns, ammo | Keep or craft |
| B | Common food, low armor | Sell or recycle |
| C | Trinkets, dupes | Skip or quick-sell |
Nuke deadline adjustments
When radiation timers dip below two minutes, drop B and C tiers without guilt. S-tier only if one grab away from bunker door. Use nuke timer and pre-planned loot routes to avoid panic drops.
After surviving, review survive nuclear blasts timing so future runs end with fuller bags.
Frequently Asked Questions
What should I loot first as a new player?
Food, basic meds, and anything that sells for high scraps. Upgrade to ammo and modules once combat basics are stable.
Is it worth looting common weapons?
Early yes, for armory fill. Late game recycle or skip duplicates unless ammo conversion needs them.
How do I avoid losing S-tier loot on death?
Store returns in armory/med bay before risky extraction pushes. Travel light during high-raider windows.
Does loot priority change in multiplayer?
Yes. Split roles: one player carries meds/ammo, another grabs modules and sellables to balance weight.
